In the northern-eastern corner of Lake Maggiore, lies a small nature reserve. This area of marsh is a reminder of how the lake must have looked before it was developed as a holiday resort. It is a fascinating area, full of photographic possibilities. I spent a sunset and sunrise the following day there, recording its quiet beauty.
